AFIT Summer Seminar is scheduled for July 22, 2026

SAVE THE DATE!

Registration expected to begin in early May

Why YOU should attend this AFIT Winter Tax Seminar:

  • Timely Topics presented by knowledgeable practitioners.
  • Option to attend in person or on-line.
  • In-depth look at Filing Season updates at AZ Department of Revenue.
  •  Opportunity for in-person attendees to meet with Account Resolution advisors from DOR on problem cases.  Bring properly-executed, signed AZ Form 285.
  • Annual Federal Tax Update with Jaye Tritz, EA.  This is always a favorite.  Jaye will review key features of the OBBBA, as well as current status on W-2, 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC, 1099K, etc
  • A rare discussion with a former IRS Commissioner will provide insight into tax administration over the years.  AFIT President Jason Silver will guide a 100-minute discussion with Charles Rettig.   IRS Commissioners can have significant impacts on the Service, taxpayers and tax professionals.
  • Ethical Concerns:  As the IRS hints of increased and more automated compliance, practitioners who normally avoid representation may have to get more involved.  IRS auditors and collectors are instructed to report ill-prepared representatives.  Be wary!  ONE HOUR OF ETHICS CPE!
  • Foreign income or assets?  It’s a question you must ask.  Learn how to comply with FBAR and FATCA issues.  Presented by Krish “PK” Perinkulam, an EA with a Tax Court license.
  • Downloadable course materials:  AFIT will make available downloadable seminar materials for ALL technical topics to save on your laptop, tablet or similar device.  You may print the materials for your future reference.
  • Desert Willow Conference Center is a clean, modern facility with excellent, healthy food choices, and safe, convenient and free parking. Meals and breaks are included in the registration fee.
  • AFIT seminars provide high-quality tax education in a professional setting.
  • In-person attendees will have an excellent opportunity for networking.
  • Easy on-line registration
  •   GREAT CPE VALUE – 8 hours of high-level CPE for less than $35 per hour.
