Historic Rose Mont was built in 1836 by Judge Josephus Conn Guild and his wife Catherine. It took six years to complete and was the center of a 500 acre estate famed for its thoroughbred horses and horse racing. The brick mansion is a magnificent and sophisticated blend of Palladian and Greek Revival architecture built in the style of a Louisiana plantation house, unique for Tennessee. We need your support to keep this beautiful, historic property maintained, open, and available to the public.
