IRLA Academy training course - The Ogden Discount Rate

TARGET AUDIENCE

An introductory level workshop providing a learning opportunity for both experienced and young professionals to develop their understanding of how to reserve, manage payments and plan for long term claims administration as well as a discussion regarding the reinsurance ramifications. We will consider the uses of lump sum payments versus other options.

On completion of the session delegates will have knowledge of some of the basics, techniques and purposes of the Ogden & ASHE tables. They will work through some individual personal injury case reserving, listen to explanations of possible options for reinsurance recoveries and how to better access actuarial and medical reports and the reasonableness of the figures prepared.

All workshop trainers have many years’ practical experience in their professional fields, and thier real life practical responses to some of the workshops do’s and dont’s will help every delegate
