In this overview, we will explore a variety of common mental health diagnoses of children from hard places. Throughout this training, we will highlight a variety of symptoms and labels. We wish to emphasize the importance that despite the diagnosis there is a child behind every label. The goal of this training is not to "fix" a child or expect to change behavior. Rather the goal is to inform and equip caregivers with information that can help them manage their child's challenges.
This training qualifies as 1.5 hours of credit toward foster care license certification and recertification, as well as the annual training requirement.
