Rochelle, a ’92 Booth Graduate, founded Japan Intercultural Consulting in 1994 with branches now in Chicago, Tokyo, New York, London, Mexico City and Silicon Valley. Rochelle is the author of The Rice-Paper Ceiling: Breaking Through Japanese Corporate Culture and over twenty-five books in Japanese. Rochelle writes for various Japanese and American publications, including regular columns for The Asahi Shimbun, Nikkei Sangyo Shimbun, The Japan Times, and Newsweek Japan. Rochelle will speak to us on the current challenges foreign firms are facing when doing business in Japan as well as the challenges that Japanese firms are facing in their international operations including cultural challenges in post-merger integrations.
