2014A - Large Boardroom, Queen Margaret University, Musselburgh, East Lothian, EH21 6UU, United Kingdom.

QMU’s Tutors’ Network is bringing together online tutors for the sharing of resources, pooling of knowledge, and exchanging of experiences. The Network will hold regular a/synchronous events and discussions including presentations from guest researchers, and learners. Blogs, links and postings will update the Network on a regular basis about forthcoming events and latest scholarship about online learning.

To launch the Network, Professor Keith Smyth from the University of Highlands and Islands will be spending a day with us on Wednesday 2nd November, 2016 exploring curriculum design for online programmes. We will be exploring what we mean and understand when we talk about ‘curriculum’ and, in light of this, what the implications are for how we harness educational technologies - and digital spaces - within the context of online learning programmes. We will spend part of the day discussing our Network and how we would like to progress this new and exciting group.

Lunch and refreshments provided.
