Christy Hutton will join us on Friday, June 3rd as our second guest plenary speaker. Christy is a Staff Psychologist and Assistant Director for Outreach and Prevention at the University of Missouri - Columbia's Counseling Center.  She will facilitate an interactive presentation that provides a basic overview of RESPOND, an innovative program designed to assist staff and faculty with addressing mental health concerns on campus.  She will discuss how and why this program was developed, provide an overview of campus mental health concerns, discuss common signs of mental health problems, and offer two specific skills for effectively responding to students in emotional distress.  She will also discuss how you can take this campus resilience and prevention program to your home campus.
