Dignity Act Coordinator Training/Workshop
This workshop will fulfill the training requirements for Dignity Act Coordinators (DAC) as required by the Dignity For All Students Act and the New York State Education Department Board of Regents.The workshop is designed for those who will be serving in the role of Dignity Act Coordinator in their school, as well as other school-based professionals (and parents) interested in learning more about the Dignity Act.
Participants will build capacity to assess, lead, and implement best practices related to the following:
- Dignity Act Coordinator Roles and Requirements
- School Policies and Codes of Conduct
- Staff Training
- Student Instruction
- Reporting Requirements
- Identify district and school strengths and needs for successful implementation of The Dignity Act
Date/TIME/Location: Friday, September 30, 2016; Check-in begins at 9:00 AM. The workshop will be held from 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM at the Hampton Inn: 680 Commack Road, Commack, NY 11725
Fee: $155 (Registrant is responsible for full payment if cancellation is not received within 5 business days of the training.) Hot beverages, and a continental breakfast will be served.

**This is not the mandated 6-hour DASA Training required for new certifications. This workshop is designed for Dignity Act Coordinators (DACs), as well as school leaders, psychologists, social workers, and counselors.
