#Courage2Ask is the theme of the 2016 6th Annual Suicide Prevention Walk hosted by the Delaware Suicide Prevention Coalition with help from the Delaware Morrow Mental Health and Recovery Services Board and Helpline of Delaware and Morrow Counties, Inc.
Suicide is preventable. Together we can prevent suicide by making ourselves aware of the signs and symptoms associated with it. However, being aware is not enough. We need to take action. That's where #Courage2Ask comes in.
Having the #Courage2Ask for help if you are struggling with thoughts of suicide can save your life. There is help avaialable and people who want to help. We understand that is not always easy which is why we encourage bystanders need to have the #Courage2Ask. If you see someone showing the signs of suicide ask! It's okay to show someone you care about their life by asking them if they are thinking about suicide.
Those who consider suicide do not wish to die. They want a way out. They want everything to get better. If we have the #Courage2Ask and explain to them how they can get better, we can save lives.
Do you have the #Courage2Ask?
