Z-6 Dining Hall, Hubbard Dining Room, Food Service, carrollton, ga, 30117, United States.

Mark Bayles, Senior Economic Education Specialist from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis will help attendees learn to navigate the vast resources available through FRED and GeoFRED, the online economic databases from the Federal Reserve Bank. FRED and GeoFRED helps users tell their data stories by using time series data from 80 national, international, public and private sources.

In this free workshop, learn how to use these freely available resources to enhance your lectures and expand research opportunities for your students/clients.

***NOTE: This workshop is open to faculty/staff at UWG, local educators K-16, and anyone in the surrounding community who works with data!***

The University of West Georgia’s Center for Economic Education is a long-standing collaborative effort between the Richards College of Business and the College of Education. As an affiliate of the Georgia Council and the National Council on Economic Education, the UWG CEE is recognized as one of twelve centers located across the state focused on improving financial literacy and economic education by helping teachers, students and the surrounding community through workshops, advocacy and grant-funded initiatives.
