Led by the team at Emu Music, and based on their amazing Word In Song conferences, this will be a place for our worship leaders, musicians, and singers to come together to be equipped, inspired, and encouraged - helping you and our churches grow in a gospel-centered approach to music and ministry.

Why should you attend?
We want to continue to invest in your God-given skills and passion for music. We have designed and shaped this event with a priority that everyone who attends will go home having learnt something new and been encouraged in their specific role. There will be some sessions all together, and also specific break-out seminars to go deeper. Plus, we’re covering the cost for you! (Just a small cost to cover lunch.)
Break-out sessions (choose one):
- Single-Note Instrument: What is the role of a melody instrument in a church band, and how can it be used to best help the congregation to sing? This seminar will look at the purpose, function, and joys of being a melody instrument in a church context!
- Guitar and Piano: Many of our churches have just these two instruments, so how do we make the most of them? And how to we lead in a dynamic, engaged, complimentary way from these instrument? In this seminar, we'll unpack both the harmonic and rhythmic elements of great congregational leading, and provide the tools for pianists and guitarists to understand each other better and play together well.
- Vocal Harmonies: Sometimes our lack of confidence with harmonies can mean we don't know where to start and we are too scared to try! This session will equip us with the key elements of hearing and singing a harmony in a way that supports the melody and creates a beautiful, full texture of vocals. We love that three part harmony!
- Drums & Bass: What does it take to create a solid foundation to a rhythm section? The bass and drums are the ‘engine room’ of any church band. We will look at: our roles, finding a part, locking in together, time, technical skills, playing the song, groove vocabulary and more.
