What does the future of engineering look like in an era defined by artificial intelligence (AI) and rapid technological change?

The engineering profession is being reshaped by advances in AI, digital engineering, smart systems and sustainable innovation. As technology accelerates, new skills and stronger interdisciplinary collaboration are essential.

The discussion on “Engineers and the Future of Engineering: Opportunities of Emerging Technologies” is especially timely following Budget 2026’s announcement of a National AI Council chaired by Prime Minister Lawrence Wong. AI is now firmly a national priority and engineers will be central to delivering its impact.

The event will feature distinguished keynote speakers: Dr Bicky Bhangu, Operating Partner, Emerging Technologies, Temasek Holdings, and Dr Hanbin Zheng, Head of Science and Technology Network, British High Commission.
