U.K. university assessment for all disciplines is usually more heavily essay based than in the States. This workshop is aimed at science students who are taking humanities/social science courses in England/Wales or any student who wants to brush up on their writing skills. We will cover the basics of the "traditional" academic essay and contrast with examples from STEM fields and give an overview of the requirements of U.K. undergraduate writing.
