Women Only Basic Pistol Course

February 22 course date is for WOMEN ONLY 

This approximate eight (8) hour course teaches the Basic Knowledge, Skills, and Attitude necessary for responsible citizens to own and operate a firearm safely & effectively.

This course is good for beginners with little or no experience, or those who want a refresher. We provide a comfortable learning experience for you to learn about firearms and firearm safety. We provide an interactive classroom learning experience on the safe operation and the "how to" of handling revolvers and semi-automatic pistols.

Students learn NRA's rules for safe gun handling, pistol parts and operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, range rules, shooting from the bench rest position and two handed standing positions, cleaning the pistol, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination, complete a shooting qualification, and receive a course completion certificate.

We will provide a .22 caliber pistol and 60 rounds of ammunition if you do not have your own. If you would like to bring your own pistol, you will need to provide the proper ammunition for your caliber pistol. No reloaded ammunition allowed. Leave pistols/ammunition in your vehicle until we go into the live range, there is NO LIVE AMMUNITION ALLOWED IN THE CLASSROOM.
