WMBC will be holding the 2nd round of our Downhill Club Championship on the 14th August at Greenvalleys Mountain Bike Park.
We will be having online registration for this event.
We will be limiting the event to 100 riders. We may be dreaming but who knows after the last event!
Purchaase your entry on line. If you require a day licence purchase it on the day.
If the online registration does not fill up we will take registrations on the day.
Shuttles will start at 8:00 with racing starting at 12:30.
Cost to race will be $40.00, cash only if you are paying on the day.
You must be a MTBA member or purchase a day licence ($25) to race. (MTBA have 3 month free temp membership. Go to their web site)
To accrue points in the club championship you will need to be a member of Wollongong or Greenvalleys Mountain bikes clubs. If you are a member of another club you can join Wollongong club for a fee of $25.00 for the calendar year.
Categories will be:
U11 Male
U15 Male
U17 Male
Junior Female (under 19s)
U19 Male
Elite male
Elite Female
Senior Male over 30
Senior female over 30
Your age category is based on what your age will be at the 31/12/16. Eg if you are 15 on 31/12/16 you need to race U17.
Full face helmets must be used. Long sleeves must be worn.
Each rider will be given 2 race runs. The best run time will determine your result.
The scouts will be having a sausage sizzle so there will be food and drinks available on the day. There should be a coffee van there as well.
We will require volunteers to help with the running of the day. It is volunteers that make these events possible. If you are able to lend a hand please see Dekka or Craig on the day or comment below.
The new middle section of the track will be up and running.
On each of our race days the track that is being competed on is the only one allowed to be ridden in the park. Also the mulch jumps and drops will be out of bounds.
