FIT Library, 4th floor E435, New York, NY, 10001, United States.

Join us in the library's Special Collections Reading Room on the 4th floor for a book talk and signing with Nicole Nehrig! She will discuss her work, With Her Own Hands: Women Weaving Their Stories. Q&A and book signing to follow.

Nicole Nehrig is a clinical and research psychologist and passionate textile crafter living in Brooklyn, NY. In her work as a therapist, she helps clients explore how to make the lives they want out of what they have to work with. The meaning she has found in knitting, sewing, and embroidery inspired her to write the book, With Her Own Hands: Women Weaving Their Stories which explores the ways women have used textile work to create meaning and purpose in their lives throughout history and around the world.
