• October 1, 2017, will bring new ICD-10-CM codes that will be immediately effective. A number of new urology ICD-10-CM codes will be introduced. Although small in number, thère is no doubt diagnostic coding will be affected by these changes. This audio-conference will review some important older concepts in diagnostic coding as well as the newly proposed changes for 2017 and 2018 so that one may be able to correctly use proper diagnostic codes and avoid claim denials and potential loss of significant revenue.
• One will receive tips and corrective measures to ensure correct diagnostic codes for various clinical scenarios. Infórmative charts and tables will be provided to aid in understanding both past and new processes of diagnostic coding. Newly àdded codes, deletions of older codes, and revision of codes for October 1, 2017, and 2018 will be provided to allow easy access to this important infórmation needed for this and next year.
