This course will discuss and review identifying the integrated furnace controller and what it controls, comparing electronics technology to electro-mechanical technology, describing the operation of integrated furnace controllers, identifying controller input and outputs, controller handling and troubleshooting, the proper use of universal controllers, and where to find resources.
INSTRUCTOR: Brynn Cooksey, CMS, RCT
Brynn Cooksey has been with the HVACR industry for more than 16 years. He started as an employee of his family’s business and currently works as a Master HVACR Mechanic at DTE Energy (an electric and gas utility company serving southeast Michigan). Cooksey specializes in industrial HVACR maintenance, service, equipment-performance testing and electrical-power generation. He is additionally an adjunct HVACR instructor with various community colleges and technical schools in Southeast Michigan.
