Transitional (In)Justice and Enforcing the Peace on Palestine
Join Maath Musleh and Bana Abu Zuluf in conversation with Brendan Ciarán Browne as they delve into the concept of 'peace' in the Palestinian context, as explored in Browne's latest work, "Transitional (in)Justice & Enforcing the Peace on Palestine." Browne argues that transitional justice acts as an extension of a deeply flawed peacebuilding process that has been so destructive in Palestine and has a deflating effect when it comes to advancing calls for meaningful decolonisation. A 'radicalisation' of transitional justice that takes place in settler-colonial contexts, one that prioritises conversations around meaningful decolonisation, is therefore required.
This event promises to be a thought-provoking exploration of crucial issues affecting Palestine, inviting participants to engage with the realities of colonialism and the urgent need for a decolonised approach to peace and justice.
