Tinctures & Oxymels Workshop

This introduction to herbalism workshop will cover different ways to extract and enjoy medicinal herbs by way of folk method preparation. Participants will learn about the properties of herbs and solvents, including their taste profiles, active constituents, and therapeutic actions. A variety of organic & locally grown herbs will be provided for participants to safely & effectively concoct their own herbal medicine at home.

Instructor: Megan Stewart, Ethereal Earth Folk Medicine. Based out of our hometown here in Leicester, Megan Stewart is a community and folk herbalist with a passion for empowering folks to learn ways to support their health and well being by connecting with the natural world around them. 

This is the fifth of the Leicester Food Coalition's Community Resiliency Food Preparation and Preservation Workshop Series. These workshops are led by local experts, using local produce to support regional farms, and designed to set up the participants for continued success at a home and community level.
