I feel like this time of year is bittersweet, especially as a mom of school aged children.
I remember when I was in school feeling like the beginning of September was full of new chances and new beginnings, but I was also sad to leave summer friends and summer fun behind.
This year feels a lot like that as well, with new layers added! My oldest is brimming with excitement and eagerness for the new school year, and it seems like yesterday he was this tiny 8 lb baby who was permanently attached to me. When did he get so tall? How is he so smart? How is he in kindergarten??? And don't even get me started on my youngest, lol! I'm sure somw of you are feeling that way, too.
Whew. We all have emotions swirling around about school starting, some good, some maybe not-so-good! That's what this coffee and chat is all about! A time for us to get together as Mamas and share our thoughts, to know we're not alone in these feelings, to distract ourselves a little bit from the pain of letting them go a little bit.
Fiona's is in Downtown Willoughby at the corner of Erie St and W Spaulding St. Free parking across the street at the muni lot, on the street, or by the library (off W Spaulding).

And stay for the friendships, community building, and village making! Afterall, raising yourself and your children takes a village. We'll be your village if you don't have one near by!
