Join us for a fun filled event at our local fire station 152 in Crystal Valley. Here's what to expect:
- Firefighters will talk to us about what they do for the community
-Safety message for the group
-Show a firefighter in gear
-Show us the fire engine
We want to be respectful of the firefighters time, so please arrive promptly at the start of the event.
There is a capacity of how many bodies we can have in their building. We have to cap this event at 25 people (this is including children). Upon registering please take this into consideration and register for both yourself (parent) and each child attending.
We hope to have another event with the fire stations in our community so if you aren't able to join this one, we will hopefully have another chance to tour again soon!
PLEASE REVIEW ITEMS BELOW
Castle Rock Fire and Rescue strives to keep our community we serve and our crews safe. As a result, these event parameters are subject to change depending on current conditions, and this may result in CRFD’s participation in an event having to be postponed or cancelled. Due to this unpredictable and unique role of the fire service in the community, changes and or cancellations may need to occur within days to hours of a scheduled event. If this occurs, a CRFD educator will be in contact with you as quickly as possible regarding your event and any changes or event cancellations that may need to occur.
Weather Considerations: In the event of extreme and or adverse weather conditions, CRFD’s participation in this event is subject to change and or cancellation in order to keep community members and or crews safe. Should changes and or modifications be needed due to these factors, a CRFD member will be in contact with you as soon as possible.
BEFORE your group comes to the fire station, please have your group members complete the following:
- Watch the Sound Off with the Home Fire Safety Patrol (ymiclassroom.com) video
- Complete a fire safety patrol in your home
- Create and practice a home fire escape plan
We have found when visitors familiarize themselves with these resources BEFORE a visit, it helps give a little more context for their time with our crew members and enriches the learning experience for everyone. Feel free to have group members bring what they have done when you come for the visit and we can talk about what you all found.
