Part 1: Early Suppliers Involvement (ESI): The Key to Value Engineering
“Early Supplier Involvement (ESI) is a form of vertical collaboration between supply chain partners in which the manufacturer involves the supplier at an early stage of the product development process.”
One of the biggest challenges a designer faces at the time of IFC (Issued for Construction) is confronting the client with the budget based on the BOQ “Bill of Quantities”. Several aspects are behind this reason.
This talk will spot the light on the importance of early supplier involvement and development of designs, which will definitely result in a more optimized design. In addition the speaker will provide live examples of how higher grade steel sections in structural designs can affect Cost and Structural Behaviour positively , in comparison to the conventional S355. It will also be highlighting the advantages for all of Clients, Consultants, Contractors and Fabricators.
Part 2: Novel Way of Design and Code Check for Steel Connections wita IDEA StatiCa
Connection design has been one of the biggest challenges of steel projects.
