Jesús Cabanas, known to most as “Sala”, began his journey as a full-time professional piercer in the early 2000s in the Canary Islands. From the very beginning, his passion for piercing was matched by a drive to learn, evolve, and elevate the standards of his craft.

After a few years working in Canary Islands, Sala started traveling the world to learn from leading professionals and pioneers in the industry. His first trip to the United States in 2007 was a turning point he immersed himself in the global piercing community and deepened his education by studying nursing, focusing on sanitary techniques, pain therapy, and anesthesia to better understand the body and improve the safety and comfort of his procedures.

In 2012, Sala moved to Oslo, Norway, and joined forces with Christiane at Pinpoint Piercing, one of the earliest APP member studios in Europe. There, he became a key part of the team, continuing to hone his techniques and share his knowledge with clients and colleagues alike.

A proud member of the Association of Professional Piercers (APP) since 2015, Sala has since become a respected educator and international speaker. He has taught at conferences across the globe, including in the USA, Spain, Germany, Poland, Sweden, the UK, Argentina, Brazil, Italy, Mexico, Colombia , India, Japan, Australia, New Zeland, Portugal, and at events such as APP, LBP, APPE, GeP, PPP, UKAPP, JPPA, APP-PT, BMXnet, PPC, AUAPP, YOUMODIFY, and APA Ritorno alle Origini.

That same year, he co-founded the APPE (Asociación de Perforadores Profesionales de España), where he served as vice president, international liaison, and organizer of the annual conference. His work helped strengthen the Spanish piercing community and build bridges with sister organizations across the world.

Today, Sala continues to balance his role as a senior piercer and co-owner at Pinpoint Piercing, board director of the APP, international speaker, and mentor sharing over two decades of experience with the next generation of professionals.

Becky Dill has been a professional body piercer since 2003 and co-owns Lemonade Piercing in California’s San Francisco Bay Area. 

Becky is a member and long-time volunteer of the Association of Professional Piercers (APP). She has previously served on the Board of Directors as President, Vice President, and Secretary.

For ten years, Becky has been an instructor for the Fakir Intensives School of Body Piercing, now called the Fakir Musafar Foundation. This school is the legacy of piercing pioneer Fakir Musafar and teaches skilled, safe, aesthetically pleasing, and sophisticated body piercing. 

Becky loves to share information and values knowledge exchange. In 2009, she founded the Bay Area Piercers’ Group, where neighboring professionals in the piercing industry can get together, keep positive communication, and offer continuing education opportunities. This effort to push community over competition has made a positive impact on a local level and has inspired similar piercer communities to connect across the world.

Cassi is a piercer with over 20 years of experience. Cassi volunteers for the Association of Professional Piercers (APP) and previously sat on the board of directors as the Outreach Liaison and the chair of the Social Media committee. She is an instructor for the APP during their annual Conference, has provided classes for their Core Essentials online education program and has presented at the GEP conference in Brazil as well as LBP in 2025. 

She opened So Gold Studios in 2019 with the vision of creating a comfortable and personalized, private piercing experience for her clients. Cassi often works with talents such as Nathalie Emmanuel and Megan The Stallion. Her work has been featured in various publications such as Coveteur, Nylon, The New Yorker, The New York Times and more. She was also a guest piercer on national television show The Today Show, where she pierced long-time client Scarlett Johansson live. She has gained a large social media following of 1.1 million followers on TikTok, where she showcases her work with ear styling while promoting safe healing. 

Chloe Broomfield is a highly experienced body piercer of more than 12 years.

Over this time she has become known for her eye catching ear curations and work with particularly unique anatomy.

She is deeply passionate about furthering educational opportunities for piercers of every origin. She is especially drawn to the more technical side of piercing and seeks out evidence-based research to amplify her skills and experience.

Eden is a skilled and highly experienced body piercer with over 19 years in the industry. Demonstrated success in studio leadership and a strong background in international event organisation.

A recognised speaker across Australia, Europe and North America advocating for education, safety and standardised professional practices within the global body piercing and suspension communities.

Kel Hampson is the owner of two professional Piercing & Tattoo studios in the Hunter Valley NSW, under the name of Ritual Adornment, and she has been professionally piercing for almost two decades.

She is a member of the Australasian United Professional Piercers (AUPP) and has served on the AUPP Board of Directors, contributing to industry advocacy, education, and professional development.

Suzanne is dedicated to giving back and volunteers for non-profit organisations, she is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the APP and has served on the board of directors for the AUPP (Australasian United Professional Piercers).

Suzanne’s work is driven by her passion for body piercing health, safety and education and she hopes to always be a trusted resource for her peers.

Suzanne's journey began in 2012 after a lifelong passion for body piercing led her straight from high school and into a studio. Not long after that, she found herself working at The Piercing Urge in Melbourne, one of Australia's oldest and most renowned studios. In 2026, Suzanne is the owner of this iconic studio where she is an APP and AUPP member and works alongside and mentors some of the most established body piercers in the Australian industry. 

Suzanne is dedicated to giving back to the piercing community and has spent many years volunteering across various industry organizations, roles, and committees. She is currently serving an elected term on the Board of Directors for the Association of Professional Piercers (APP), continuing her commitment to advancing body piercing health, safety and education.

Suzanne hopes to always be a friendly and trusted resource for her peers, and is happy to chat all about things piercing and leadership with you. 

Jess Evans is the owner and Head Piercer of Metal Magic Piercings in Auckland, New Zealand. Piercing professionally since 2008, Jess is a proud member of both the AUPP and APP. After her first conference presentation in 2024, Jess has enjoyed sharing knowledge, experiences, and a passion for educating on effective piercer–client relationships.

Known for a warm and approachable style, Jess prides herself on creating positive client experiences through safe, professional, and informative piercing services. When she's not talking about piercings or sparkly jewellery, there's a good chance Jess is drinking coffee and letting everyone in the area know how much she loves Lord of The Rings and unicorns!

Bree Montgomery is a highly regarded professional body piercer and the studio manager at Opal Heart Piercing in Perth, Western Australia, where she has worked since 2013.

Having begun her career in 2010, she is dedicated to technical excellence, safe aseptic techniques, and custom-curated client experiences.

Deeply committed to industry education and safety standards, Bree has served on the Board of Directors for the Australasian United Professional Piercers since 2020 and recently shared her expertise as a presenter at the annual Association of Professional Piercers conference.

Ebby has been piercing for over 8 years and co-owns and manages daily operations at Birthright Adornment in Melbourne, Australia. She is an APP and AUPP member, and her love for the industry led her to becoming selected as a Legacy Scholar for the APP conference in 2023. She is now an annual volunteer for the organisation, focusing on the A/V department. Her passion for creating a safe community space and inclusive studio has garnered local attention, winning a 'Best Biz' award with their council and being prominently featured in local advertisements.
