This is a basic handgun safety course required by the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security for applicants to obtain the Tennessee Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit.
This course consists of both classroom lecture and live fire range. It allows permit holders to carry a handgun either Concealed or Open in the state of Tennessee. The permit is recognized in 36 states across the nation.
Course Topics include:
Carry Permit application and eligibility requirements
Legal liabilities of carrying, possessing and using a handgun
Requirements for transporting a handgun
Requirements for self defense and the use of deadly force in Tennessee (TN)
Basic skills and knowledge necessary for owning, maintaining and shooting a handgun - SAFELY
Start time is 9am
Required for Class:
State Confirmation Number
A safe, reliable handgun, semi automatic or revolver
Eye and Ear Protection (We offer disposable ear plugs and Eye protection if needed)
50 Rounds of Ammunition
NOTE:
In order attend the TN Handgun Carry Permit Class, all students MUST obtain a unique CONFIRMATION number from the State of TN Prior to taking the course.
