As part of Culture Lab's exploration of London's global status as a tech hub, we take a walking tour of London's famous "Silicon Roundabout". We will first learn about the origins of Silicon Roundabout and Tech City, and how it became the third largest tech start-up cluster after New York City and San Francisco. Although today, it is easy to work from home, businesses still benefit from being within walking distance of each other. Within the tour, there will be a visit to a community-driven co-working space where their team will explain their mission on serving the community as opposed to the incubator programmes set up by large companies. Depending on the size of the group, the tour will finish inside Google Campus to allow for a sneak peak into the shared working space and cafe where many entrepreneurs first start out. This event is strongly recommended to all IFSA-Butler students interested in business, finance and entrpreneurship.
