This is a collaborative book study focused on Teaching and Learning in the Face of Adversity by Miki Trujillo, Doug Fischer, and Nancy Frey. Teachers will explore how adversity affects student learning and discuss practical, compassionate strategies to support students while maintaining strong instruction. Each section of the book has an Ignite piece where you can inspire Hope with your learners.
Through reflection and discussion, participants will connect the book’s ideas to their own classrooms, share experiences, and identify strategies that promote belonging, resilience, and academic success. Teachers will leave with actionable insights they can apply immediately in their practice.
*Participants need to purchase their own copy of the book.
