Misty Coats gre up in North Carolina. After graduating high school, she worked in property management and then found she enjoyed the insurance business. She started out in a small agency and worked her way up to become the owner. After 15 years being in the business she sold the business to a larger agency and continued with them for 5 years. She was an area supervisor over five offices, she left insurance in 2015. She had her first experience with real estate, rehabbing a house she purchased that was condemned by the county and foreclosed on. It had sparked an interest in real estate investing. She began by short sale negotiations.

Ken grew up in South Carolina. After graduating high school, he entered the military. After serving 12 years in the Army he moved to North Carolina. He worked his way through college by helping a friend rehab houses. When he finished college, he started working for a local HVAC company. After three years into the job he stepped out and started his own HVAC company. He operated the business for 17 years before closing it down. The past four years he along with his fiance Misty have begun to explore the real estate business.
