This course will teach you about tax law changes that are currently in effect and highlight changes to the tax laws as they affect real estate practitioners and the consumers. At course completion, you will be able to:

  • Explain to the consumer the tax consequences regarding changes in tax rules affecting individuals,
  • Help consumers learn tax rules affecting their transactions as applied by other related practitioners such as closing agents and qualified intermediaries, and
  • Provide highlights to individual, estate, and retirement provisions in the tax regulations.

In addition, students will become part of discussion surrounding errors in filing tax returns, investment interest as a deduction, and tax form changes and the reasons behind them. 

State-approved course for 4-CE hours. Punctuality and full attendance are mandatory.
