Everyone is accountable for creating and sustaining a safe work environment. Supervisors must promote good safety practices by providing employees with feedback, supporting those who stop work when risk increases and rewarding individuals who take the time and effort to ensure the work is performed safely. Broken into digestible moments, this two-hour virtual session highlights the role of a supervisor in ensuring safe environments through engaging discussion and interactive learning. Participants will receive pragmatic ideas and tips to better enable ongoing and value-added communication, direction and evaluation of their team’s safety philosophy and practices.

Instructor bio: Greg McCully is Managing Partner of 2Six Advisors, a full-service health & safety consulting company. Mr. McCully is a board-certified safety professional with 19 years of health and safety experience, with his time spent in various industries, including aerospace, manufacturing, construction, shipbuilding and oil & gas. Previously, Mr. McCully served in a Director-level role with an oil and gas company where he championed a risk-based approach to health and safety across both the upstream and midstream businesses. This role required an analysis against risk to people, business and community as well as regulatory compliance needs, industry best practices and good engineering practices. Mr. McCully utilizes his vast experience to help companies achieve best in class HSE.
