• Location: Yolo-Solano Center for Teacher Credentialing (4632 2nd Street, Suite 110, Davis, CA 95618) • Topic: At this seminar, our objective is to offer realistic and attainable ideas for incorporating ELD strategies into ELA curriculum while providing concrete content examples for classroom use. We’ll review the new ELD content standards, and how to access the ELD framework, ELPAC, and ELPAC-tasks, as well as discussing/practicing strategies, techniques, and procedures. • Presenter Information: o Cammie Portello is in her 19th year of teaching. She currently teaches 4th grade in Davis Joint Unified School District, and is also the district's Induction Coordinator. She has been involved in Yolo-Solano Consortium (formerly "BTSA") since she first went through the program as a new teacher herself. o   Cammie Portello is in her 19th year of teaching. She currently teaches 4th grade in Davis Joint Unified School District, and is also the district's Induction Coordinator. She has been involved in Yolo-Solano Consortium (formerly "BTSA") since she first went through the program as a new teacher herself. Cammie and her family live in Davis, and her two daughters attend a local Davis school. Cammie enjoys working with new teachers because of their energetic spirit, their willingness to learn, and innovative ideas.

o   Treva Foster is in her 23rd year of teaching. She is currently the Dixon Unified ELD Instructional coach (but has taught a variety of grades at the elementary level). She has worked as a Reading Specialist and an ELD Intervention Specialist. Treva has been involved in Yolo-Solano Consortium since 2014. Treva and her family live in Dixon, and her two children attend Dixon High School. She enjoys supporting new teachers as they navigate the challenges of classroom management, curriculum pacing, and diverse learners.
