State of Colorado Approved IV Therapy and Fluid Management Certification for ***LPNs and Medical Assistants Only*** June 20, 2019, June 21, 2019, June 22, 2019 (Colorado State Board of Nursing Approved!) from 9 AM to 5 PM ALL THREE DAYS at Saving American Hearts, Inc. 6165 Lehman Drive Suite 202 Colorado Springs, Colorado 80918. 

The cost of this course is $275 and includes all materials and supplies. **This IV Class is only for LPNs and Medical Assistants at this time**This course is a total of 60 hours. The cost of this course is $275 and includes a self study student workbook. In this course we will cover; Competency and Scope of Practice; Instructions for use; Anatomy and Physiology; Fluid and Electrolyte Balance; Infection Control; IV Tubing Line Setup; IV Fluid Calculations; IV Tubing Change Frequency; Skin Care and infection control; Peripheral IV Insertion; Equipment Techniques in Venipuncture; Troubleshooting IV Infusion; IV assessment; Discontinuing IV Therapy; Documentation; Complications of IV Therapy. Each student must successfully start 10 IVs as well as discontinue them and pass all skills competency testing before the certification is issued. Upon successful completion of the course and the hands on skill practice and testing, students will receive certification for the course.
