This course is designed for district personnel seeking to strengthen their understanding of special education and improve day-to-day practice. Participants will explore how to conduct legally compliant and meaningful IEP meetings, gain a foundational understanding of autism characteristics, and examine evidence-based practices that support student engagement and progress. The course also addresses behavior through a proactive lens, including the Prevent–Teach–Reinforce (PTR) framework for developing effective, student-centered behavior supports.
