7:00 pm - Solar Workshop

Reading Municipal Light Department (RMLD) invites residential, commercial, and municpal customers to attend a free Solar Workshop on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 7:00 pm at 230 Ash Street, Reading. The workshop will be held at the start of RMLD’s regularly scheduled Board of Commissioners meeting. A reception with light refreshments and informational displays will be held in the lobby beginning at 6:30 pm. 

Topics to be covered include:

  • An overview of solar energy production and the economics of solar (system pricing, available incentives and rebates, etc.) 
  • Existing RMLD solar programs (Customer Owned Generation Rate, Solar Choice program)
  • Potential future solar garden
  • A comprehensive overview of the solar installation process
