You will walk away with tools and strategies on analyzing and using primary sources/documents as evidence, flash debates, argument talk protocols and more. o   Linda Biewer-Elstob, affectionately known as Ms. BE by her students, recently left her 6th grade classroom in Davis after 28 years of teaching to take on the new role of Instructional Coach for Davis Joint Unified School District. Linda has been involved with Induction since 2000, first as a candidate teacher when moving back to California, then as a mentor and facilitator. One of her passions is curriculum development (especially integrating history and ELA) and collaborating with other teachers to engage students in their own learning. 

Marc Rodriguez is a Social Science teacher at Dixon High School.  He has been teaching a variety of courses there over the past 13 years and has been involved with the Yolo-Solano Induction Program in some capacity for the duration of his teaching experience.  He interacts positively with his students and works to improve his craft through his interactions with students and teachers alike.
