Are you ready to up your small group and conferring work in the Readers Workshop? Do you wish for time to create a toolkit with the resources you need to quickly and efficiently teach small groups and in conferences? If you are, come join us. You will create a toolkit with the resources you need to teach small group and confer with students. The toolkit will include learning continuums, information about non-fiction and fiction books at the proficiency levels you teach and, teaching strategies that directly align with the knowledge and skills students need at each level. You will be encouraged to utilize your existing mentor texts. The course will pull from Understanding Text & Readers, The Reading Conference, and Reading Strategies from Jennifer Serravallo. Each participant will have a copy of each book to check out for the duration of the class.
