A mala is a single strand of beads used to keep track of how many times you've repeated a mantra, prayer or other positive affirmation. Mala beads are also called mantra beads, meditation beads, Hindu rosaries or Buddhist prayer beads and we’ll create our mala using 108 beads.
The number 108 has always been a highly revered number for thousands of years, coveted by many spiritual traditions and ascribed special significance in meditation and prayer. During this session, we’ll discuss the history and cultural significance of malas and the number 108.
Session includes all materials:
· Natural Gemstone Beads
· Stringing Material
· Guru Beads
· Tassels or charms
Soft drinks and coffee are available to all attendees. Participants are welcome to bring wine.
