The SHM Wiregrass Chapter will be hosting their annual scientific abstract competition on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. CT at ACOM in Dothan, AL. The event will take place in the Team Based Learning (TBL) Suite on the 3rd Floor.
Call for Abstracts
The SHM Wiregrass Chapter invites Hospitalists, Residents and Medical Students to submit posters for its annual Scientific Abstract Competition. All submissions should include a poster using the instructions provided below.
Submission Categories: 1. Research 2. Innovations 3. Clinical Vignettes 4. Basic Science 5. Medical Education 6. Outreach 7. Population Health 8. Quality Improvement
Submission Deadline: October 31, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. CT
Submission Instructions: Submit your abstract through the Abstract Submission Portal. Direct all related questions to Dr. Syed Fatmi at sohebfatmi@yahoo.com.
The first-place winner is encouraged to submit their poster to the National Scientific Abstract Competition taking place during SHM’s annual Conference, Converge, in Nashville, TN, March 29 - April 1, 2026 and will be required to submit their abstract to the national submission site by the November 24, 2025 deadline in order to be accepted.
