The SHM Piedmont Triad will be hosting an in-person meeting on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. ET at Foothills Brewpub in Winston-Salem, NC. Please join the chapter for networking and for an educational presentation titled, "An Update on Inpatient Management of COPD and Community Acquired Pneumonia," provided by Drs. Sumera Andleeb and Alexandria Sutton. This event will also feature the chapter's Scientific Abstract Competition where fellows, residents, and medical students will be showcasing their work in research, innovations, and clinical vignettes.
The Society of Hospital Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The SHM Piedmont Triad Chapter invites Advanced Practice Providers (PA/NP), Early Career Physicians, Fellows, Residents, and Medical Students (MD/ APP) to submit abstracts to the chapter's Scientific Abstract Competition.

Notification of Acceptance: Wednesday, November 5, 2025
The first place winner is encouraged to submit their poster to the National Scientific Abstract Competition taking place at SHM’s annual conference, Converge, in Nashville, TN, March 29 - April 1, 2026 and will be required to submit their abstract to the national submission site by the November 24, 2025 submission deadline in order to be accepted.
