Call for Abstracts
The SHM NYC/Westchester & Long Island Chapters invite Medical Students, Residents, Physician Assistants (PAs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), PA Students and NP Students to participate in their joint Scientific Abstract Competition.
Submission Categories: 1. Research 2. Innovations 3. Clinical Vignettes
Submission Deadline: Friday, October 31, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. ET
Submission Instructions: Please submit abstracts to shmnycwestchesterlichapters@gmail.com.
The top two scoring abstracts of each chapter will receive automatic acceptance to the National Scientific Abstract Competition taking place during SHM’s annual Conference, Converge, in Nashville, TN, March 29 - April 1, 2026. The two selected authors will be required to submit their abstract to the national submission site by the November 24, 2025 deadline in order to be accepted. The top NYC/Westchester Chapter poster can apply for a travel stipend at the chapter's discretion. The second and third place abstracts of each chapter will receive a complimentary one-year SHM membership.
