The SHM North Jersey Chapter will be holding an in-person meeting on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. ET at The Grand Cafe in Morristown, NJ. Please join the chapter for networking and for the chapter's annual scientific abstract competition where fellows, residents, and students will be showcasing their work in research, innovations, and clinical vignettes.
Call for Abstracts:
The SHM North Jersey Chapter invites Residents, Fellows and Medical Students to submit abstracts to their Scientific Abstract Competition. This is an opportunity to showcase your work in Research, Innovation, and Clinical Vignettes (RIV).
Submission Categories: 1. Research 2. Innovations 3. Clinical Vignettes
Submission Deadline: Monday, October 13, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. ET

Notification of Acceptance: By October 31, 2025
The first-place winner will receive automatic acceptance to the National Scientific Abstract Competition taking place during SHM’s annual Conference, Converge, in Nashville, TN, March 29 - April 1, 2026 and will be required to submit their abstract to the national submission site by the November 24, 2025 deadline in order to be accepted. The first-place winner will also receive a $500 travel stipend to attend the conference. The second-place winner will receive a $200 gift card. The third-place winner will receive a $100 gift card. The Best Original Research winner will receive a $200 gift card.
