The SHM North Bay Chapter is hosting an in-person meeting on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at The Doctors Company in Napa, CA.
Join fellow hospitalists from across the North Bay area for an evening of networking and education. The program will feature “Navigating the Malpractice Landscape: National and California Claims Trends, Hospital Medicine Insights, and Practical Risk Reduction Strategies,” presented by Todd Virkus, President, Claims, and Karen Everitt, JD, Vice President, Patient Safety and Risk Management.
Attendees will have dedicated time to connect with local hospital medicine colleagues, followed by a timely discussion of malpractice trends and practical risk-reduction strategies relevant to hospitalist practice.
