The SHM Nebraska Chapter will be hosting their annual scientific abstract competition on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. CT at Biaggi's Ristorante Italiano in Omaha, NE. Please join the chapter to meet and network with other clinicians in your community and to view the work of fellows, residents, and medical students in research, innovations, and clinical vignettes.
Call for Abstracts
The SHM Nebraska Chapter encourages all the hospitalists, Internal Medicine (IM), Family Medicine, IM Pediatrics and Pediatrics Residents, advanced practice providers (APP), and Medical Students to participate in the Chapter's Scientific Abstract Competition. Medical students are required to register for an SHM Medical Student membership. There are no annual membership dues for Medical Students. All submissions should include a poster using the instructions provided below.

The first-place winner will receive automatic acceptance to the National Scientific Abstract Competition taking place during SHM’s annual Conference, Converge, in Nashville, TN, March 29 - April 1, 2026 and will be required to submit their abstract to the national submission site by the November 24, 2025 deadline in order to be accepted. This winner will also receive a $500 Amazon gift card. The second-place winner will receive a $200 Amazon gift card. The third-place winner will receive a $100 Amazon gift card.
