The SHM Michigan Chapter will be hosting an in-person meeting on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at Seasons 52 in Troy, Michigan. Join the chapter to network with other hospitalists and receive a featured presentation by Dr. Scott Kaatz, DO, MSc, FACP, SFHM, titled, "Improving Outcomes for Patients Hospitalized with COVID-19: Guideline-Based Guidance Ahead of the Respiratory Virus Season."
Our discussion will include case-based, educational guidance for hospitalists, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants caring for acutely ill patients with COVID-19 including an overview of the National Institutes of Health's (NIH) Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Treatment Guidelines recently updated in 2024. We will provide guidance on how to optimize outcomes for patients at risk for worse outcomes from the COVID-19 virus during the upcoming respiratory season.
