The Society of Hospital Medicine Iowa Chapter will be collaborating with the Internal Medicine Department of the University of Iowa for an in-person meeting on Friday, June 27th at 12:00 p.m. CT at the Iowa Healthcare Medical Center Downtown in Iowa City, IA. The group will be meeting in the Administrative Boardroom (N2300). Please join the chapter for lunch and an educational presentation titled "The Evolving State and Steps to Alleviate Physician Burnout," provided by Dr. Gerald Clancy. Dr. Clancy is a Professor of Psychiatry and Emergency Medicine at the University of Iowa, and he will be sharing his expertise on the multiple factors contributing to physician burnout. His talk will be informative for all members of our healthcare teams. He has assisted with strategies focusing on both the providers and the health system to address this ongoing issue.
