The Central & Southwest Virginia Chapter will be hosting an in-person event on Friday, June 13th at 5:00 p.m. ET at Carilion Children's Pediatric Medicine located in the Tanglewood Mall in Roanoke, Virginia. The group will be meeting in the Mill Mountain Room for this event. Please join the chapter to meet and network with other hospitalists in your community and for an educational presentation titled "Prognostication in Serious Illness," provided by Dr. Aziz Ansari.
Dr. Ansari is an Associate Professor of Medicine and the Associate Chief Medical Officer, Clinical Optimization and Revenue Integrity at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. Dr. Ansari serves as Co-Director of Professional Development in Communication and Supportive Care for the Coleman Palliative Medicine Training Program. He is a practicing and board-certified hospitalist and palliative care physician. He is passionate about the need for developing strong primary palliative care skills across all disciplines.
