The SHM Boston/Eastern Massachusetts Chapter is holding an in-person event on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. ET at Branch Line in Watertown, MA.  Please join us for networking and for an educational talk titled, "Procedure Services in Hospital Medicine: Design, Delivery, & ROI," provided by Drs. Michael Devine, Michael Schwartz, Majid Shafiq, and Adam Tapley.

About Michael Devine, DO

Michael C. Schwartz, MD, FACP, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and a hospitalist and clinician educator at Boston Medical Center. He completed medical school at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and his Internal Medicine residency at Boston University Medical Center. He serves as Director of GIM Inpatient Services and the Internal Medicine Procedure Team, as well as Inpatient Flow Medical Director. His academic interests focus on medical education, particularly point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) and bedside procedures; he is the department’s POCUS Director and leads development of the Internal Medicine Residency POCUS curriculum and pathway.
