We are pleased to invite you to a leadership development opportunity SERVANT LEADERSHIP on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in the CIPCI Collaborative Theater facilitated by Steve Surprenant, Vice President Mission Formation and Incorporation for Trinity Health in Livonia.
The session objectives are:
1. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the key elements of Servant Leadership and connect these to our Mission and Core Value.
2. Participants will reflect on their own work experiences in light of Servant Leadership.
3. Participants will understand their role as a leader to live and integrate the principles of Servant Leadership into their day-to-day decisions and actions.
Almost 50 years ago, a retired corporate executive named Robert K. Greenleaf began to write about a theory of leadership called Servant Leadership. Rooted deep within his own experience, Greenleaf articulated a philosophy of leadership evident in the lives of leaders such as Jesus of Nazareth and Mohandas Gandhi, just to mention two. “The servant-leader is servant first… It begins with the natural feeling that one wants to serve, to serve first. Then conscious choice brings one to aspire to lead."
Once registered an outlook invite will be sent to your calendar. Space is limited - this session is first come first serve. Registration closes on June 8, 2018.
Additional learning opportunities will be sent to you in a separate email. Thank you for your ongoing efforts and commitment to improving your leadership skills.
