This half day introductory course aims to raise awareness about the safeguarding issues that may affect people living with dementia and the implications for safeguarding practice in the football club charity environment.
Learning Outcomes:
- Describe the safeguarding issues that may affect those who live with dementia
- Understand and apply good safeguarding practice in their working environment
- Promote awareness and share their understanding with their staff teams and colleagues
- Equip themselves and their colleagues to identify signs and indicators of abuse, neglect and exploitation and report concerns in a timely and effective manner
Who: Designated Safeguarding Officers, programme leads/managers, senior delivery staff or anyone who is in a position to influence safer practice when working with people who live with dementia.
