You are invited to celebrate the Opening of the Doors service for the new Orthodox Church in Rosarito, Mexico. La Natividad de la Madre de Dios (The Nativity of the Mother of God) is scheduled to be blessed and celebrated on November 15th, 2025. There are other events that make up an entire weekend, as well as visiting local Rosarito and getting to know the local church community. The weekend itinerary is below, beginning Friday, November 14th and ending Sunday, November 16th.
This registration is to let us know that you will be attending the Welcome dinner as well as the Blessing of the Church service on Saturday evening. The dress code for the Welome Dinner is cocktail attire, be aware that it is chilly this time of year in Rosarito.
Please note that children, unless infants, are not invited to the Welcome Dinner, however are welcome to all other events and activities.
If you are looking to stay at the Rosarito Beach Hotel for the weekend, St. Innocent Orphanage has blocked off a limited amount of rooms for our invitees to purchase. Please contact Julia Kasten, the Event organizer (julia@projectmexico.org) to reserve a room and receive information about transportation. To cross the border at the San Ysidro Port of Entry you must have a valid passport or passport card.
Transportation will be provided if needed and staying at the Rosarito Beach Hotel, more information will follow upon reservation at the hotel and an RSVP.
